Using the latest advancement in materials and engineering techniques Linn have re-engineered the Ekos gaining a significant sonic improvement.
Materials used have been carefully selected for their low resonance properties to minimise interference and microphony, extracting even more information from your vinyl collection.
There is only one way to appreciate how the EkosSE can enhance your listening pleasure and that is by booking a personal demonstration. Less colouration, more control, better separation are superficial and bland ways of conveying how the EkosSE helps identify the beginings and ends of notes and allows musical instruments more of their own space. This information has been locked into your vinyl collection since you first owned it, the EkosSE helps it to see the light of day for the first time.

An arm tube which machined from solid titanium – an ideal choice due to the metal’s inherent dampening properties, which results in better control of arm resonances and therefore less interference of the sound from surface noise and general background noise
A new stainless steel bearing housing which holds the horizontal bearing more securely for reduced movement of the arm
A main bearing assembly also machined from stainless steel, exhibiting a co-efficient of expansion that is identical to the actual bearing material and does not affect bearing friction or play, for consistent performance
A closer, tighter bonding of headshell, arm tube and arm tube holder enhancing rigidity.
