Arcam r Series. Great sounding, clever Hi fi Accessories

The Arcam rSeries products are all about getting the best sound from any digital device. These products can be used with any audio system and are a brilliant way to bringing 21st century tech into your home.


The rPlay. Add High Quality Music Streaming to your existing Hifi system. £399

The rPlay is the latest addition to Arcams rSeries and allows you to add network audio streaming services and internet radio to any system using DTS PlayFi, Apple Airplay® or UPnP enabled music sources. It also features an SPDIF output that can be connected to an off board DAC

The rPlay benefits from Arcam’s more than twenty years of digital audio expertise and use the finest quality parts in a layout that is optimised for low noise and minimum distortion. The four-layer PCB allows Arcams designers to maximise the quality of the ground plane in order to further reduce interference between components. The use of multiple low noise individually regulated power supplies ensures the rPlay delivers the cleanest signal to the audiophile quality output stage. As well as a fixed line level analogue output, the rPlay also features a variable analogue output which uses the same volume control as the A49 flagship amplifier.

The rPlay’s WiFi is compatible with 802.11 b/g/n but it also hosts a wired Ethernet (RJ45) connector for the most reliable results from your network.

The rPlay is one of the simplest ways to enjoy streaming audio services regardless of platform and brings Arcam quality sound to a whole new generation of music lovers.



The irDAC 2. Designed to be at the heart of you digital Music £399


Arcam were pioneers in the DAC market. They introduced their first DAC in 1987.
The new irDAC 2 is the latest in a long line of performance driven Arcam digital products.

The irDAC-II continues the story by adding Bluetooth connectivity, headphone output and DSD128 support. The irDAC-II comes packed with cutting edge technology and features that will benefit the most demanding user. We have gained a lot of knowledge developing class leading DACs. Areas like isolation of the digital and analogue stages, ultralow noise power supplies and a direct coupled signal path make a big difference. We use the outstanding ESS Sabre DAC to obtain performance that we believe will be unmatched in this price category. Jitter reduction is an obsession within our engineering team. They have applied their experience in the irDAC-II to produce a signal that is almost jitter free. The headphone output stage has been taken from the flagship A49 amplifier and is capable of driving the most demanding of headphones. Both fixed and variable line outputs are also available, allowing for ultimate system building flexibility.

The irDAC-II is designed to be the heart of a digital system and can be connected to a host of different types of digital sources and connections. This includes asynchronous USB and Bluetooth. All of the inputs can be controlled through an IR remote that will also give you transport control of a PC or Mac USB source via the HID (Human Interface Device) control.

The rPhono. Over 40 Years of Analogue expertise distilled. £399


Designed specifically to replace an in-built phono amplifier or to add a turntable connection to your existing amplifier, the rPhono is the latest analogue addition to the rSeries.

The rPhono benefits from Arcam’s more than forty years of analogue audio expertise and uses the finest quality parts in a layout that is optimised for low noise and minimum distortion. The multi-layer PCB allows Arcams designers to maximise the quality of the ground plane so that interference between components is further reduced. The use of multiple, low-noise, individually regulated power supplies ensures the rPhono delivers the cleanest signal to the audiophile quality output stage.

Featuring a wealth of features specifically designed for optimal matching of your turntable’s cartridge, the rPhono is the perfect solution for the vinyl lover. Moving coil users benefit from precision impedance matching using high-quality trimmers instead of discrete steps, while moving magnet users have a wide variety of capacitance options. An optionally selectable low frequency “rumble” filter eliminates the effects of warping or pressing irregularities, which can be present on some vinyl.

Precision components give excellent RIAA response and classleading performance figures, meaning the rPhono will delight all music-lovers.

The rPhono is a simple way to improve the performance regardless of turntable and brings Arcam quality sound to any system.


The rHead. Continuing the tradtion of Arcams class leading amplification. £199


The rHead is a true linear class A design, resulting in absolutely no crossover distortion for the purest sound. Extensive care has been taken to optimise the layout and areas like multiple ultra-low noise power supplies and a fully direct coupled signal path make a big difference. Also, the volume control is an ultra-linear analogue resistive ladder device, as used in the flagship A49, which eliminates tracking errors which can be found in normal potentiometer-based volume controls.

Comprehensive protection systems prevent damage to the rHead while not interfering in any way with the ultimate reproduction of the sound - the rHead sounds amazingly natural and completely engaging and reveals the true character of any music that is played through it.

The rHead is more than capable of driving the most demanding of headphones. Both RCA and XLR inputs (switchable) are available, as well as both 3.5 and 6.35mm sockets, allowing for ultimate headphone listening flexibility.
